What is Plastic Divider Sheets?

Plastic Divider Sheets, also called plastic Tier sheets, plastic layer pads, plastic interlayer sheets, etc,  are put between layers of glass bottles, metal cans, PET bottles, plastic jars when these beverage containers are stacked on pallets. Beverage industrial use these plastic divider sheets to maximize the load capacity, and to save storage / transportation cost.

The advantage of the plastic divider sheets

Traditionally, the beverage industry uses the wood board, paper cardboard, or the fiberboard to separate the bottle packages. But the wood board or fiberboard has the following drawbacks.

1. The fragments of wood or fiber may fall into the bottles, and may contaminate the beverage if not cleaning up completely.

2. The fugues and bacteria will grow because the wood or paper boards  absorb water and moisture.

3. The wood board, paper cardboard, or fiberboard only can use a few times, and cannot recycle. After using up,  additional cost needs to dispose the paper cardboard and fiberboard.

4. The wood board, paper cardboard, and the fiberboard are made of trees. It increases carbon dioxide emissions due to the consumption of timber resources.

The plastic divider sheets are made from the fluted /corrugated plastic sheets. The plastic sheets are extruded from HDPP ( high density polypropylene) resin. The sheet has a similar corrugated structure as the paper cardboard, except that the flutes are rectangular as the pictures below. Due to this hollow construction, the sheet has a unique feature of light-weight.

Unlike the paper cardboard which loses its rigidity when absorbing the water, the corrugated polypropylene sheets are water and moist repellant which allow the plastic divider sheets can be directly put into refrigerated storage houses, and not to worry about the condensate water. The divider sheets also can be washed with water to re-use for many times.

The sheet is non-toxic, odorless with the inert chemical property, and can directly contact with food. It is completely sanitary

When the plastic divider sheets are broken, the polypropylene material of the sheets can be re-melted to recycle using.

Compared with the wood board, cardboard, and fiberboard, the plastic divider sheets have the following advantages.

• Washable for re-using
• Resistant to bacteria and fungus
• Recyclable without disposal cost 

Normally, the plastic divider sheets are sealed edges with round corners. The standard size is 1200mm x 1000mm x 3.8mm.
